I got to photograph Stella within a few days of her arrival (picture here), and then I went back for some 3 month photos. She’s really grown up! Of course, she still doesn’t fill up her crib:
And her toes are still tiny:
And see a few more of her here!

Noelle and her mom met me at Saint Anthony Main for a quick photoshoot and yummy dinner at Kikugawa. As much as I’ve complained about the weather this spring, we got lucky for this shoot! I loved how she looked among all the bricks.

We played on the planters and benches:

Noelle was all smiles for the hour, which was such a treat.

And she was eager to show off her crawling skills.

This portrait session was really special to me, because almost 2 years ago, Noelle’s sister Maura was my first “practice” client. We did a portrait session in the Lake Harriet Rose Garden and had a great time. Here’s Maura at 9 months … she and her sister look a lot a like, don’t they?

I can’t believe how much I’ve learned (and how much equipment I’ve purchased) since that day.

Heather is a friend of a friend. I think I played softball against her in the lawyer’s league years ago! We met last December to talk about wedding photography, before I’d even put up my website! Despite threats of rain and tornado sirens elsewhere in the state, Heather’s wedding to Shaun on May 31st turned out to be a beautiful day! The wedding was outside at the Crystal Lake Golf Course in Lakeville, Minnesota:
The reception was held indoors:
I arrived in time to take a few getting ready shots. The groom had a little trouble with his shirt, but his brother and best man sorted things out:
Heather and Shaun saw each other for the first time just a bit before the ceremony. That allowed us to capture that moment and some great portraits of them:

I set up formal portraits of the bridal party and the families:
But there were many laughs and touching moments in the process:
The ceremony started, with these flower girls taking their very long walk:

Unfortunately, my view during the ceremony itself was a bit limited:
But my second-shooter, Mandy, from Glimpses of Soul Photography, got great photos from her angle. If you have a large bridal party, or want to make sure your event is covered from all angles, I highly recommend adding a second-shooter to your package! And of course, there was dancing and cake!

Congratulations again, Heather & Shaun! I hope you’re enjoying yourselves in Costa Rica!
