Has it been a year already? Seems like this little guy was born just a few weeks ago, and now here he is walking around like a champ. It’s so fun to watch these kiddos grow.

A few weeks ago, I met up with 5-year old Joey and his parents at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen, MN. After a couple days of rain, we really lucked out and had the best day for portraits! The family dressed in shades of green, to match the holiday cards they have already picked out and it looked so great with the early-fall foliage. Here are a few of my favorites!

I just love watching families grow! I had the chance to photograph this family on a lovely Sunday morning at a Minneapolis park. I hadn’t seen them since November, and the kids had grown up so much. I think they’re looking cuter than ever! And I just loved how coordinated and stylish their outfits were. Thanks for another great session.

I’m getting quite behind on my blogging! And with the wedding photography season starting in force next weekend, I fear it will only get worse. The good thing is, though, that I have lots of fun pictures I can’t wait to share here. For example, last weekend was Art-a-Whirl in Minneapolis, and I got to take pictures of Gastro Non Grata’s pig roast at The Modern Cafe for The Heavy Table, an online food magazine. After that, I headed over to the warehouse district of Minneapolis to meet Max and his mom for a photo shoot!
Max is almost 5 months old, but not quite sitting up. The bumbo comes in so handy at this age!
Max and his parents will be moving to a different state next month, so it was fun to take pictures of Max in the neighborhood where he was born, even though he probably won’t remember! Plus, the Minneapolis warehouse district has lots of fun colors and textures for backgrounds.
And of course, we took some more outdoorsy looking pictures, too.
Then we moved inside for a quick change and a few pictures with Max’s buddy Emma. Max’s onesie says he’s cuter than the dog, but it’s definitely a close contest! They’re both adorable.
Thanks, Max! I had the best time hanging out with you!
