I just love watching families grow! I had the chance to photograph this family on a lovely Sunday morning at a Minneapolis park. I hadn’t seen them since November, and the kids had grown up so much. I think they’re looking cuter than ever! And I just loved how coordinated and stylish their outfits were. Thanks for another great session.

I’m getting quite behind on my blogging! And with the wedding photography season starting in force next weekend, I fear it will only get worse. The good thing is, though, that I have lots of fun pictures I can’t wait to share here. For example, last weekend was Art-a-Whirl in Minneapolis, and I got to take pictures of Gastro Non Grata’s pig roast at The Modern Cafe for The Heavy Table, an online food magazine. After that, I headed over to the warehouse district of Minneapolis to meet Max and his mom for a photo shoot!
Max is almost 5 months old, but not quite sitting up. The bumbo comes in so handy at this age!
Max and his parents will be moving to a different state next month, so it was fun to take pictures of Max in the neighborhood where he was born, even though he probably won’t remember! Plus, the Minneapolis warehouse district has lots of fun colors and textures for backgrounds.
And of course, we took some more outdoorsy looking pictures, too.
Then we moved inside for a quick change and a few pictures with Max’s buddy Emma. Max’s onesie says he’s cuter than the dog, but it’s definitely a close contest! They’re both adorable.
Thanks, Max! I had the best time hanging out with you!

Someone is growing up quite fast! Just a week after Miss S had her first birthday, we got together for some portraits at her home and outside along the Minnehaha Parkway.
This session was a much more work than last time, because Miss S was scooting and crawling and pulling herself all over the place. It can’t be long before she’s walking, too. But those blue eyes are still sparkling!

I was so happy the snow stayed away for a few hours so that we could shoot a few photos on the parkway. Especially as Miss S had one of the cutest winter hats I’ve seen:
You can see the rest of your photos here!

It may be winter outside for a few more weeks, but we had a spring portrait session inside on Sunday for Evie’s second birthday. Evie was so warm and friendly and those pigtails were just too adorable!
We played some pool (or mostly, rolling of the pool balls):
And put her new sandals and off . . . and on and off . . . and on and off . . . and on and off . . .
Here’s Evie’s full-on smile:
We had a break to dance the macarena:
Evie changed into a beautiful pink dress that matched her big-girl bedding just perfectly:
We ended the session with some kisses from dad:
Happy birthday, Evie!

This morning, after some power shopping at the No-Coast Craft-O-Rama, I headed over to take some family photos in South Minneapolis of little Stella. She’s grown so much since the last time she was featured on the blog!
She was certainly a happy camper this morning.
And look at those beautiful blue eyes!
And of course, we took pictures of the whole family:
Oops! I’ll let the family photos be a surprise for the Christmas cards. All this reminds me that next year I need to set some firm holiday deadlines! I want to make sure everyone gets their custom-designed cards, large prints, and albums in time for Christmas & Chanukah. If you’re still planning to place a print order, please do so by Wednesday, December 10 to ensure timely delivery.
One last pic:
Great to see you again, Stella. Happy Holidays!
