Jaime & Matt Are Married on the Endless Bridge

Jaime and Matt were married on the Endless Bridge of the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, on September 12, 2009.  I joined them at the Grand Hotel for a few getting ready photos.

Shannon & Jerrod | A Minneapolis Couple Up North

Before I start this post, I want to offer an apology for the delay in posting this sneak peak.  In between shooting this wedding and today, both my computer AND the external harddrive where I store all of my photos crashed in separate incidents.  My computer was sent back to Apple for a new logic board and other tweaks.  My external harddrive seems to just be toast.  BUT, all of my images are backed up, both at my home and off-site.  So while I lost over a week of processing time, I did not lose any client images.  I’m so thankful for that!

And now on to this gorgeous wedding that took place on May 30, 2009 up in Motley, Minnesota.   When we met for a pre-wedding consult, just two weeks before the wedding, Shannon said I wouldn’t miss the church.  ”Just turn right at the Dairy Queen.”  I love small towns!

I loved Shannon’s birdcage veil.  Isn’t she gorgeous?

Even though it looked pretty nice outside, it was also quite windy and chilly, so we took formal portraits inside the church before the ceremony.

After the ceremony, we headed over to the next-town-over, Staples, to take pictures around the Staples Depot.  I absolutely adored this location!

Newlyweds, Annie & Ryan!

On Saturday, I traveled up to the beautiful campus of the College of St. Benedict for Annie & Ryan’s wedding.  Although the forecast was for morning rain, there was not a cloud in the sky and the temperatures stayed cool enough for August to really enjoy the outdoor ceremony.  Here’s a quick sneak peak of some of the many shots I took that day.  Many thanks to my friend Jeanette for helping me out as a second shooter.  I also posted a few more pictures on my Facebook Page.  If you’re not already a fan, I’d love it if you became one!

Here are Annie and Ryan right after their “first look” — seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day.

We took a few minutes for some casual portraits right after that, and then did all of the formal family shots before the ceremony.

There were so many cute kids at this wedding!  Here are Ryan’s 3 nieces, who did a great job as flower girls.

And here are Annie’s 2 nephews, who were very serious about their ring-bearing jobs.

Here’s Annie and her Dad walking down the college green!

I adore photographing outdoor weddings, because there are usually fewer restrictions on where I can stand.  Here I could even get some unique angles from behind the scenes with my new super-zoom.

This was the exchange of vows:

Ending in a very passionate kiss!

The reception was held just across campus at the Gorecki Conference Center.  The reception had a lot of cute touches, like homemade potica as favors, kissing contests with every clinking of the glasses, and of course a gorgeous wedding cake!

And finally, a few photos from their first dance.

I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your photos!  Thank you again for letting me be part of this wonderful occasion.
