Anya turned two just last week. To celebrate, we met at the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden in Theodore Wirth Park for a toddler portrait session. The tree canopy provided some nice, even shade, perfect for portraits.

Anya was super cooperative, climbing on benches, rocks, and fallen trees every time I asked.

The above is not technically a black and white, but a split-tone image. I just love the way it looks! I also loved Anya’s more serious face and big brown eyes as you can see below:

But she wasn’t serious for long!

After wandering through the woods for a while, we came across a clearing and a small prairie. I suppose picking the flowers is frowned upon at a flower garden, but we let Anya have just one. And how cute is the result?

Thanks for spending the morning with me! You can see the rest of your pictures and order prints here.
